Happy Holidays

from Benjamin & Maryse

We are excited to share these highlights from our year with you. Please make sure to provide your up-to-date contact info, so we can stay in touch throughout 2025!

Our 2024 started and ended with snow! It was a year of ups and downs, but also one of growth, exploration, and learning to better appreciate the small moments that make life worthwhile.

A huge shoutout to our friends and family who visited throughout the year, and to the AscendWV program that made our move from Phoenix possible!

This year offered new opportunities to explore more of our new state. Seeing the national parks at Harper’s Ferry and New River Gorge were two high points of our time in West Virginia so far.

We wish you a happy and safe holiday season however you celebrate, and look forward to reconnecting in 2025.

With love,

Ben & Maryse

Our 2024 Year in Photos

January

We started the year with some of the first snow we've seen in years. The ball in Times Square has nothing on the Apple in our little city!

February

Did you know you can grow mushrooms in logs? Or that there's an authentic Chinese farmhouse in the West Virginia woods? February was a month of learning. Also, Pizza Squirrell!

March

Spring. Easter. Gritty, live and in… person?

April

We got serious about gardening in April and got to work turning some lawn into sheet composted beds. We still had time to see a concert, though!

May

Progress in the garden, family visits, and our first visit to Harper’s Ferry National Park!

June

We went mini-golfing with friends, Maryse made a hole-in-one, and Ben spent a day at the races (ah, work!)

July

We found this little guy under our trash can, and he quickly became part of our family.

August

A drought ended, and our friend's marriage began. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Blusnavage!

September

We raised and released monarch butterflies, and saw Twenty One Pilots live in concert!

October

We took a statewide road trip to see the famous Kenova Pumpkin House, New River Gorge National Park, and all the fall leaves we could ever want. The northern lights even made an appearance over our front porch!

November

We caught a bug and had to miss Thanksgiving, but made our own at home a few days later. We also had a visit from friends! That walking stick never looked so big.

December

That kitten we found in June is not so small anymore, and he's a bigger part of our family than ever before. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Blessed New Year from us to you!
